Fancy trying your hand at artisan soap making in London? This hands-on workshop teaches you how to create natural soaps the traditional way, using simple, skin-friendly ingredients. Paula started her soap making business back in 2014, focusing on sustainable plant-based oils and natural scents and colours. Her soaps are as beautiful as they are practical, with blends like Coconut Milk, Oats and Rosemary, Himalayan Salt and Lavender, Green Clay and Lemongrass, and Cedarwood. They look almost good enough to eat, with creamy textures and lovely natural swirls. During the course, you will learn the full soap making process from raw ingredients through to mixing colours and fragrances. You will also discover how natural ingredients like clays, micas and activated charcoal can be used to create colour. The workshops are very hands-on and you will make around eight bars of palm oil free soap to take home, along with your recipe, course notes and the confidence to carry on making soap yourself. If you get hooked, there is also guidance on safety, regulations and the legal side of selling soaps, all explained in a clear and friendly way by Paula. The workshops take place in a studio just off the Strand, with Temple station nearby.
