Experience a full day of climbing and abseiling with this introductory day near Tunbridge Wells in Kent. Starting at the sandstone crags of Harrison's Rocks - you'll spend around four hours getting confident with your climbing. Learning all of the essentials like belaying (securing the climber); essential knots; and climbing techniques. You cannot learn how to abseil on these rocks however because they are classed as too soft - so you will be taken to a separate 10m tall training tower. Are you confident enough to step over the edge?

  • A full day of climbing and abseiling in Kent/Sussex
  • Learn how to climb the sandstone crags
  • Learn how to abseil down the abseiling tower
  • All the gear you need is included in the package

  • Full day rock climbing and abseiling lasting around 7 hours
  • 4 hours rock climbing
  • 2 hours on the abseiling tower
  • Learn about safety, climbing techniques, climbing etiquette, knots & belaying, introduction to climbing & bouldering, abseiling techniques, blindfold abseiling and confident tests
  • All climbing and safety equipment is provided
  • Activities are run in groups, with a maximum size of 12 people
  • All instructors are experienced and hold relevant qualifications from MLTUK (mountain Leader Training UK) as well as first aid and safety qualifications

  • Selected weekends throughout the year
  • Usually running at least once a month from March to October
  • Sessions run from 9am to around 4pm
  • There are no shops nearby so participants and spectators are advised to bring their own refreshments and lunch

  • There is no maximum age limit however you need to be reasonably agile to get the most from this experience
