Give Freediving a go with this Two Day Introduction Course to the sport with an official RAID Freediving course. Spend the first morning split between the classroom and the pool to learn the basics. You will cover all the essentials such as learning about buddying, freediving equipment, how to breath correctly and hold your breath safely. All this knowledge will be put to use in the pool to make sure you get it right before heading out to Vobster Quay in the Afternoon. Vobster Quay is where you will start diving in open water, eventually leading to the opportunity to dive submerged boats or planes as well as through shoals of fish, finishing the weekend with potentially diving up to 20 metres down. There will be so much to learn in the two day course but you will be amazed with what you are capable of! With all equipment provided, you just need to bring a willingness to give it a go.

  • Participants must complete the theory and pass before the date of your booked course
  • All participants are required to complete a standard medical questionnaire prior to attending the course RAID Freediving Course
  • Accommodation is not included, but information is provided
  • Vobster Quay entry is not included (currently £22.00 per day)

Minimum Age: 18 years

  • Selected Saturdays-Sundays between April and October

  • A good general level of fitness is required
  • Participants respiratory and circulatory systems must be in good health
  • A medical statement must be completed prior to participating
  • Spectators are welcome at Vobster Quay
