Why buy from us?
For a fun craft activity to do from the comfort of your own home, there’s not much else that cleans up like this Online Soap Making Course! Hosted by your tutor Paula Mateo, the founder of Old Bexley Soap Co, this online course includes downloadable course documents, access to video e-learning and a one-to-one live tutorial on Zoom, and will teach you everything you need to know about making your own soap at home. Paula grew up on her family’s small holding in the Pyrenees, surrounded by beautiful vines that she helped tend to and look after. It was from this that she developed and curated her own business, using all natural ingredients to make small-batch soaps and other toiletries. And on this course, she’ll be passing on her knowledge and expertise, and most importantly her love of soap making to you. You’ll be able to access the video tutorial as a subscriber any time you want, and with the course handbook, you can progress through the teaching at your own pace. Paula has also put together a handy list of ingredients and tools so you know just what you need to safely make soap at home. This will include the choice of essential oils and fragrances that you use, but also things like moulds, bowls and a blender. You’ll get the opportunity to understand the science behind soap making, plus guidance on what colours and botanicals to use. As you’ll learn, the quality of different ingredients and thus your soap will vary depending on where you source them from. Upon completion of the handbook and video tutorials, Paula will book you in for a one-to-one session on Zoom, which is your chance to ask her any questions you may have, tailor the coaching to your needs and go over anything you’d like a refresher on. Soap making is a great example of a craft or hobby that can turn into a profitable small business or enterprise - so you can also gain knowledge on how to make this a reality too and share your hand-crafted soaps with the world!
