Taking flight from Newcastle International Airport, you'll start seeing the sights almost immediately, as you cruise through the air up the A1 motorway, past the Angel of the North, and you'll be blown away by how this magnificent feat of architecture looks from the sky. From there, you'll head over Birtley and Ouston, on towards Washington with the big Nissan car manufacturing plant, keeping an eye out for the Roman-style temple folly known as Penshaw Monument. You'll also take in Newcastle's magnificent coastline, including the gorgeous Marsden Bay and South Shields, as you fly over the estuary and start making your way up the River Tyne! It's instantly recognisable from its several bridges that cross the river, including the Tyne Bridge, the Millennium Bridge at Gateshead and the High Level Metro bridge, each one a lasting reminder of the industrial power behind Newcastle. You'll also be able to spot other iconic landmarks such as the Metro Arena, Grey's Monument, Newcastle Castle Keep and the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art.   • You must enter passenger/participant weight at the time of booking an experience. If weight varies between the time of initial booking and date of flight experience it remains the responsibility of the customer to update their individual weight via their online account prior to flight
  • All passengers will be weighed before flight and if disparity exists between weight disclosed and actual weight (within reason), the passenger may be illegible to fly
  • Please note that the maximum weight limit for the Co Pilot Seat on a helicopter pleasure flight varies depending on aircraft and other operational considerations
  • If as a party of one you weigh in excess of 15 stone, you may still be able to fly however you will need to purchase an additional seat. This seat will either have to remain unoccupied or can be occupied by an individual as long as the combined total as listed above is not exceeded
