How do you and a loved one fancy taking care of a cute, fluffy, cheeky bundle of love for an hour? Well you can do, on this Meerkat Experience for Two! Meet the meerkats at Hoo Farm Animal Park in Telford, Shropshire, for this one hour experience hosted by the park’s meerkat keeper, who will introduce you to probably one of the quirkiest animals around, and some of their other mammal friends along the way. The two meerkats you’ll get to meet are Kovu and Uuka, who have been hand reared by the keeper team, and are very tame in nature. And who knows - if they take to you then you may even get to have a cuddle with them or they may have a little nap in your lap! As well as this, on this experience you’ll get to learn all about the meerkats’ natural habitat, lifestyle and how they are reared - and of course, you’ll get to help out at feeding time as well. So whether you’ve already got a special affection for them or are just curious about them, then you’ll definitely be enamoured with these charming but funny little creatures by the end of your experience!

The Wildlife Park is closed during November and from Christmas Eve until 22nd March. Although experiences take place during this time, the park itself will not be accessible

I did the Lemur, Meerkat and Serval experience with my husband and we both loved it - our guide was full of information about each animal and obviously cares deeply about them. We had plenty of time in each enclosure and the meerkat cuddles were great, they're such cute little characters. The opportunity to stroke the servals was amazing, they are such beautiful cats. The whole park is well run, there's a lot to see and do and I think it would be easy to spend most of the day here. I'd definitely love to come back, I just wish I lived a bit closer.

I traveled 95 miles with a friend for this experience and it was worth every mile. We sent the 3 hour journey back in traffic queues grinning. What a lovely animal park this is and suitable for any age range who like animals. The environment for each animal has had thought and attention to detail to provide an exceptional environment for them to make their home. All the animals look happy and content. The number of different animals we saw was amazing and there was lots of young and several pairs of animals preparing homes for young. The setting was extremely clean and well maintained with good cafe / shop facilities and picnic areas.
The experience itself of meeting servals, meerkats, black and white ruffed and ring tail lemurs was fantastic and we had a bonus of meeting a caracal too. The the animals where friendly and content to have us in their home. The keeper (Becky) knew the animals well and they respected her, she was very friendly and answered all our questions even the silly ones people ask when excited. I will go again and try one of the many other experiences they have to offer. I will also go just for a visit to wander round and listen to the animal talks. The sheep race at the end of the day was extremely entertaining.
