Tom and Ginger are the alpha pair of Meerkats in Oxfordshire, living in a large enclosure filled with tunnels and foraging places. For visitors, it's a walk-through enclosure, offering an up-close look at these fascinating creatures. Meerkats are known for their family-oriented nature, living in gangs or mobs of up to 50 in the wild. They take turns being the sentry, constantly on the lookout for predators while others are off getting food or babysitting young pups. During the Meerkat day in Oxfordshire, you'll be given a feeding bowl. The friendly Meerkats will quickly descend upon you, eager to eat the goodies in your bowl and giving you a chance to take plenty of photos.
