Jon Woodhead
Fantastic experience and the person who took the session was so knowledgeable it made the experience. I thoroughly recommend this experience to anybody who is interested in flying old historic airplanes or interested in flying WW2 planes. I want to go again to enhance the first experience.
Jon Emery
I have been a huge fan of the Lancaster bomber so this was a fantastic gift from my son. It did not disappoint and to have the opportunity to use this simulator is just great. The graphics are really good with the opportunity to see how you did with tasks in a replay mode E.g. flying under the Severn Bridge and watching your bombing run on the dams. Sadly I was hit by anti aircraft fire and didnt make it home having to crash land in a field

I had a fantastic experience, my instructor Peter kirkwood was excellent I would 100 recommend this experience.Thank you.
Mr Robin Izzard
Fantastic experience lovely people
Howard Pollard
Amazing realistic experience. How they did that in 1944 just shows how brave they were
Dave Johnson
Thoroughly enjoyed the Lancaster experience, got to do the dambuster raid which was very difficult to master but for the experience of the trainer who helped out considerably making the whole thing a lot easier. Highlights just how difficult it was for our brave veterans who actually carried out the original raid on the dams. Loved every minute of it, recommend it to anyone
David
Very friendly people. A knowledgeable and skilled instructor who went the extra mile to make the experience fascinating and highly enjoyable.

Fabulous experience

The experience was really great, very engrossing. Having been in a Lancaster cockpit I can say it was very realistic. The staff were very welcoming and very professional. They evening made my wife and I a coffee. Great day out.
Malcolm
A most enjoyable experience with great tuition.I had the extended package and would thoroughlyrecommend this aswell. Lots of fun.
Callum Roberts
Very friendly instructor, with a well setup simulator.
David Leavesley
Superb experience, wonderful instructor and an hour and a half of high intensity physical and mental strain. Trying to bomb the dams of the Ruhr was something else. How they did it for real, I shall never know. Anyone with an interest in Lancasters and WWII would absolutely love this. One point, getting to Shoreham airport was easy, but a sign or placard advertising the building and the simulator would save driving around for 10 minutes.otherwise review would have been 5 stars
Guy Dickinson
Very good. Excellent staff. Simulator very good I realise for the whole thing to move about would be asking a lot.

We had a great time. We are both Lancaster enthusiasts, our fathers both having been associated with the aircraft. We have been lucky enough to have taxied and even flown in an actual Lancaster, but of course they dont let you touch the controls So this was a great opportunity to find out what it is really like to fly the Lanc. The simulator is an excellent full scale mockup of the cockpit of a Lancaster, with all the controls, dials and switches, most of which are functional. The view out front and to both sides is excellent, and the scenery very realistic. We were pretty familiar with the layout of the cockpit already, but our instructor Fozzy explained everything, including stuff we didnt know Then we took turns to fly the two simulation experiences under and over the Severn bridges and then at low level over two of the dams attacked in the Dambusters raid where we came under fire with Fozzy acting as flight engineer and navigator. Its not a full motion simulator, but the experience is very realistic and immersive, enhanced considerably by the very loud engine sounds, which shake the whole cockpit as they should. Above all, you are left with an accurate impression of how much work is involved in controlling this iconic aircraft. We only flew for about 1 12 hours each, but the mental concentration and physical activity involved certainly took its toll. You can only imagine how tiring it would be to fly for 56 hours at night while being shot at for real. Respect.A word of special thanks for our instructor Fozzy. He was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable, and made the whole experience great fun, We both have some flying experience, so we knew the basics, but I am sure that with his guidance even absolute flying novices will have a great experience too.Highly recommended. One tip though the simulator is in a hangar without heating, so the cockpit can be quite cold also quite realistic. So dress up warm

A fantastic experience for my husbands special birthday.
Phil Tomlinson
Really enjoyable experience. Very tuned in and knowledgeable instructor who made the experience that more special. An emotional experience for me given my Fathers role in air crew in ww2 and this was fully taken into consideration in making my day even more memorable. Thx
Mike Cross
Fantastic experience, definitely recommend it , very informative and helpful
Giles
Outstanding experience.Id rather sneeringly prejudged what I thought it would be thinking it might be a minor upgrade to Microsoft Simulator. Instead it was a fully immersive experience with a copilot, doing a training run then the Dambusters raid. You fully feel all the complexities of flying the Lancaster with excellent assistance from your copilot. Id wholly recommend it.
Trevor Slater
Great experience. My instructor was very informative.
Paul Smith
Excellent experience in every way
Nick
Fantastic fun experience. The simulator is immersive and it really made me think I was flying my favourite aircraft. Blay, the instructor, was very knowledgeable and guided me expertly through the missions. Brilliant
Stuart Thompson
A great fun experience led by a very passionate and informative Fozzie. Let your imagination run and it feels like you are actually flying the mighty Lancaster, reenacting the Dambusters famous raid over the dams at 50 feet The simulator gave me a true sense of how the original bombers, along with their payload, would actually have handled and how amazing the pilots and crew were at such a young age. Great fun for two hours.
Mark D
What a great experience. Very realistic and exciting.Very nice staff and I highly recommend. If your into Lancasters its excellent

Truly was a fantastic experience. Best part for me was coming away with a deeper understanding and appreciation of what our brave Bomber crews went through for us. It was also just a great experience. Nice and friendly staff added to the day. Would recommend to anyone with an interest in this fantastic Bomber or the history it made.
Kim
Absolute brilliant experience. I flew the Lancaster at 30 ft under the severn bridge. My claim to fame. A total rush to experience what our very brave boys did when they flew over the dams. I will never forget the experience. Thank you xx
Ken Lavey
This was a memorable experience. The Lancaster simulator cockpit was accurate and with CGI , the visual screens ,and simulated instruments and sound gave a thrilling immersive experience. Flying the Lancaster felt so real it even swung to the left and I had the impression of a heavy aircraft and its inertia. My instructor was a great mentor , flight engineer and navigator . I will long remember and savour my two flights . Flying the Dans raid in daylight was the stuff of dreams Totally recommended

I had an amazing time. It was a birthday gift from my wife. Getting hold of the controls again was so familiar. I flew a dak in the air force. The controls and view took a bit of getting used to but once up there it was like second nature. I also flew the mission. Ended with a force landing in a field but clipped some trees so that wasnt a successful landing though the mission was completed. Highly recommend this for any flying enthusiast.

Absolutely brilliant experience, Fozzy was an excellent instructor, to find out how difficult it was to fly a Lancaster bomber has opened a whole new level of love and respect for the many young men that sacrificed themselves to give us our freedom, I would recommend that you consider doing this for yourselfThank you into the blue

Great experience. Ive sat in a real Lancaster before and the simulator cockpit is very similar. The controls in flight have the delayed response of the real thing as well, so not easy. Id like to have another go

Fabulous experience Blay was our host, he gave great instructions and also made it fun, loved the chance to do the DamBusters attack and made me admire the real 617 boys all the more. If youre in to WW2 this is a must

This was an amazing experience, and made me realise how challenging it was to the young pilots who were flying Lancasters night after night as thats when they flew most of their missions. Its worth reading Guy Gibsons book Enemy Coast Ahead as youll appreciate the difficulties the pilots faced every day especially when you have flown the Lancaster yourself. The instructor was excellent, and made the whole experience very memorable.

What a brilliant day, my wife got this for my 60th birthday gift and it didnt disappoint The simulator is far more realistic than imagined and I came away with even more respect for the young airmen of WW2 who flew these machines. Im so glad Fozzi was there to explain everything and correct my errors resulting in a very memorable experience.

An excellent afternoon with the Lancaster Bomber Flight Simulator. Fozzi. the instructor took me through the missions, the aircraft, its controls and instrumentation. He also assessed my previuos flying experience and noted where I might find differences and explained how to manage them. The first flight was structured to familiarise me with the aircraft, its controls and its handling. This started with a basic takeoff, climb, then to straighht and level flight and progressively built until we flew under the Severn Bridge and finished in a landing. The second flight was the 617 Dambuster mission on the Ruhr Dams. I was talked and coached into successful attack profiles on the Mohne Dam.This is the perfect gift for the Aviation Geek in your life, at the end I was presented with a certificate and mug to remember the afternoon by.
