Kitesurfing Experience Days: Master the essential skills of kitesurfing with this comprehensive two-day course in Poole, designed to give you the confidence and knowledge to ride independently.
Guided by expert instructors, day one begins on land with trainer kite flying and wind theory, teaching you how to generate and control power safely. After a break, you will head into the shallow waters of Poole Harbour’s dedicated kite zone to practice body dragging and manoeuvring—an ideal environment for beginners. On day two, you will move straight onto the board, building on what you have learned and focusing on getting up and riding as quickly as possible.
With instructors by your side throughout and plenty of time on the water, this course helps you develop real confidence and technique. Perfect for water sports fans, it’s an immersive experience that’s sure to leave you hooked on kitesurfing.
The minimum age is 16 years.
You must be comfortable in the water.
There is no specific requirements regarding maximum size but you will need to fit into a harness, please check with the centre when booking if you have concerns regarding this.

The kitesurfing centre is open from March to November.

Spectators are welcome, but please listen to theinstructors as to where the safest place to stand and watch is.

All equipment will be supplied - this includes kite, board, wetsuit, harness and helmet. You just need to take a change of dry clothes, a swimming costume and a towel.
If you have your own kit and want to use it for the lessons, please check with the centre first.
Kitesurfing is a weather dependent sport. You need wind! Depending on the location, you may also need wind in a particular direction.
The tides also play a part, with many locations not being able to teach at high tides.
Please make sure you call the centre either the day before or on the actual day of your course to check that your lesson is going ahead.
