Spend an afternoon getting creative with clay during this fun and relaxed 90-minute pottery class in South West London. You’ll be welcomed into the studio by Italian potter Davide, who has years of experience in a range of artistic disciplines and knows exactly how to guide beginners through the basics. He’ll show you simple hand-building techniques as well as how to throw on the wheel, before letting you loose to have a go yourself. Be prepared to get a little messy as you shape and mould your own unique creation, and don’t be surprised if you find the whole process surprisingly therapeutic. The class is BYOB, so you can even bring along a glass of wine or a cold beer to enjoy while you work. At the end of the session, you’ll have your very own handmade piece to take home, which will be air dried for you. If you’d like to go one step further, you can have your work fired and glazed for a small fee of £10 per item, ready to collect in two weeks. Whether you choose to display your pottery proudly at home or give it as a thoughtful gift, this experience is a brilliant way to unwind, get creative, and spend quality time with friends.
