Fly fishing is one of the most peaceful yet skilled country pursuits to take up - and you can find out for yourself whether it’s your catch on this two hour introductory course. The idyllic setting of the three acre private Leigh Mill Lake near Godstone in Surrey is where you’ll be learning to fly fish from. The fishing club based here runs a variety of sessions for all levels of aptitude, with the lake fed by the clear cold spring waters of Gibbs Brook, which has an abundance of fish. Rainbow and Brown Trout, as well as Wild Perch, will be the types of fish you’ll be aiming to catch, and whether you opt to Catch and Cook or Catch and Release is entirely up to you! All the gear and tackle you’ll need is included in your session, with tuition delivered by one of the fishing club’s expert coaches on a one-to-one basis, entirely tailored to your requirements to help maximise your time by the lake, plus some excellent facilities on-site, including 14 casting off platforms, shelters, a floating lodge and a lakeside cottage with full kitchen facilities and ample parking spaces with easy, level access to the lake.
