This venue even hosted the Olympic events in 1948 and has seen the likes of Laura Kenny and Jo Rowsell Shand training here over the years. Unlike regular cycling, these track bikes take a little getting used to as they have fixed gears and can be tricky to mount. But throughout this session you'll grow in confidence with tuition from experts and by the end of it, you'll be whizzing around the Velodrome in no time.   • Participants should be confident riding a bike in a straight line without wobbling
  • Spectators are welcome

  • Lycra is not required, although it is recommended that you don't wear anything too baggy
  • Layers are recommended, as well as a warm jacket for after your session
  • Please bring water and a snack
  • Helmets and gloves must be worn (you can bring your own or they will be provided for you)
