This helicopter challenge is offered at several locations around the UK and gives you the opportunity to fly in a four-seater executive helicopter as part of a group of three. One of you will be in charge of flying while the other two passengers observe and take in the views from the sky! The challenge will be rotated so that each participant will have the opportunity to fly the helicopter. During these trio flights you will learn about the basic controls of a helicopter as well as managing the demands of Navigation and Observation at the same time. When it’s your time to sit up front as the pilot, you will also get the chance to complete a Hover Challenge in the helicopter. This skilful experience will give you the opportunity to experience three separate flights, which means a trio of landings, take-offs and birds eye views of the scenery below. Before you take flight you will receive a full flight briefing and instruction from a trained helicopter pilot, who will guide you through safety measures, and how to use controls. Each student will receive a notebook, which will contain key information, theories and challenges of flying a helicopter. After the flight, students will have the opportunity to receive feedback and advice from the experienced pilot and will receive a certificate for their flying. This experience will be a unique and memorable experience for each student.
