Our Mannoch Gorge experience will have you discovering secret waterfalls, swimming and jumping along the way. For the daring among you, this is the more adventurous of the two options we offer in Galloway, and you will definitely get wet. Our Otter Gorge experience is truly unique, as it involves tackling a variety of edifices. You’ll abseil down a bridge with water flowing all around you, walk a rope bridge, conquer the Giant’s Staircase, and explore what Galloway locals call the smuggler’s cave. While you won’t get quite as wet on this one, you will still be splashing around and having a great time. Our expert Galloway outdoor instructors will guide and host your session, providing all the gear you need for your adventure. This is the perfect introduction to the sport, with plenty to keep even the most daring among you happy. With a minimum age of just nine, this is a fun day out for all ages! Mannoch Gorge Scramble

  • Explore the gorge to find hidden waterfalls
  • Scramble, swim and jump along your route

Otter Gorge Adventure

  • Take part in the bridge abseil and test your balance on the rope bridge
  • Swim, scramble and jump through the gorge
  • Descend the giants stair case and explore the hidden smugglers cave

  • Minimum age 9
  • Under 16s will need to have a consent form signed by a parent or guardian
  • You must feel confident in the water and be able to swim
  • If you have any medical conditions or previous injuries please make this known at the time of booking

  • Weekdays and weekends throughout the year, subject to availability
  • This experience runs in all weather conditions unless water levels are too high (which is rare) in which case your experience will be rescheduled

Minimum Age: 9 years

  • Please bring trainers with good grip that you don't mind getting wet, a change of clothes, swim wear and a towel
  • A changing robe will be provided for you to use on the day
  • Not suitable for spectators
