Rock Climbing Experience Days: Enjoy a full day of rock climbing and abseiling in the breathtaking Brecon Beacons — perfect for thrill-seekers and outdoor adventurers.
If you are ready to swap the climbing wall for real rock, this is your chance to embrace the great outdoors and tackle some of Wales’ most impressive natural formations. With seven full hours on the crags, you will learn essential climbing and abseiling skills while soaking up the stunning scenery.
After meeting your group and completing a safety briefing, you will be fully kitted out and introduced to bouldering at a nearby quarry to build confidence and technique. As the day goes on, you will progress to climbing real rock faces at varying heights, guided and supported by expert instructors every step of the way. You will also master the art of abseiling — a thrilling way to descend the crags and a highlight for many participants.
With top-quality equipment and highly experienced instructors, this outdoor adventure promises excitement, skill-building, and an unforgettable sense of achievement.
Requirements
Minimum Age: 8 years
This is a physical experience, so participants should be fit and healthy.
Participants who have a fear of heights are welcome to join in - you can set your own personal goals with your instructor and practice the ground skills if you start to feel uncomfortable.

The rock climbing and abseiling introductory session in the Brecon Beacons is available throughout the year on both weekdays and weekends.
Please note that bookings in May, June and July can be tricky due to higher numbers of large group bookings, so please give plenty of notice.

This is a shared group experience - you will be taking part with a minimum of 2 other participants.
There is no maximum group size as such, but larger groups will need to enquire about bookings with plenty of notice to ensure that enough instructors are available.
Duration
Experience Duration: 7:00
Time Spent at Venue: 7:15
This is a full-day climbing and abseiling experience and will last for around 7 hours in total.
Your day will start at 9:15am and finish around 4:30 pm.
You will break for lunch around midday - please ensure you have packed enough food to keep you going!

Equipment & Clothing
Safety equipment such as helmets and harnesses will be provided by the centre.
Please dress according to the weather - you will need to wear comfortable, stretchy trousers (preferably not jeans), and sturdy shoes such as trainers.
Please ensure you bring an adequate lunch with you on the day...and don't forget a drink - this is thirsty work!
Weather
This abseiling and rock climbing experience will go ahead in most weather conditions.
However, if the instructors deem the conditions to be unsafe, you will simply be rescheduled for an alternative date.
