Overview
Why buy from us?
The Peak District National Park, situated in the Midlands of England, neighbouring Staffordshire, Cheshire, Derbyshire, Greater Manchester and South and West Yorkshire, is undoubtedly one of the most breathtakingly beautiful parts of the British Isles. And on this full day's photography workshop, you'll discover one of the most naturally stunning areas, the Hope Valley, and learn how to capture the best of it on camera under your expert tutor, Alan. The morning session of the day begins over in Padley Gorge, a deep but narrow valley over in Derbyshire. Meeting up at 9:30am, you'll get to explore some peaceful ancient woodlands, following the babbling Burbage Brook across the rocks along the way. On your afternoon session, you'll head off on the wooded trails of Lawrencefield, and discover the unusual site of the former Bolehill Quarry, where Peak District stone was sourced and quarried in the early 20th century, the remnants of which are still visible today amongst the many birch trees that grow here. Indeed, there are so many atmospheric locations and environments you'll encounter along your travels that afford plenty of great photo opportunities. And Alan will be your best guide and tutor for this workshop, as he not only knows the area very well, but he will also help you get the most out of your camera, whether it's close up shots of fungi and the fern covered forest floors, or wide open panoramic landscape views. You'll also hopefully get the opportunity to meet like minded people and learn some new photography techniques along the way too!
