Our small group experiences provide ample time to get to know the different birds and their handlers. With falconers from all over the country, you're sure to find a centre that catches your eye!
Your experience will begin with an introduction to the birds and the fascinating history of falconry. You'll discover the daily routine of caring for these birds, including breeding, feeding, training, and conservation efforts.
During a half-day session, you'll have the opportunity to handle and fly the birds after the introduction. The moment a bird of prey lands on your gloved hand is a magical experience you'll never forget. Don't forget to bring your camera!

The Half Day
A welcome and tour of the falconry centre or collection
Meet and learn about the characteristics and behaviour of different birds
Handle and fly a variety of birds 'from the glove'
Plenty of photo opportunities to capture your experience
Experiences last approximately 3 hours (unless stated)
The Full Day
Welcome from your falconer
Meet and greet with a selection of birds usually including Hawks, Owls and Falcons
Learn how the birds are trained, exercised and handled
Get hands on and fly the birds from a gloved hand
The days usually last between 5 and 7 hours (unless stated)
You will be forming part of a small group of others on the day
A light lunch is included at some venues (please check when booking your date)
Limited spectator places are usually available and give friends and family the opportunity to see the birds
Spectator places should be booked in advance with the operator, an additional spectator fee applies and is payable on site
Spectators are not permitted at the West Sussex location
Most venues provide tea and coffee for guests
Minimum age of 16
Under 18's must be accompanied by a participating or spectating adult
Minimum Age: 16 years
You are advised to dress for the weather as activities are outdoors
Sturdy footwear or Wellington Boots are recommended
Experiences run on most weekends and weekdays throughout the year
Most of the activities are subject to weather conditions, however, the Cheshire venue has an indoor flying arena in case of rain
Dates are subject to availability at your chosen venue
Please note Tunbridge Well do no run sessions on a Wednesday

This was a birthday gift, and we had a brilliant half day experience at the Hill Top Birds of Prey Centre, Llangarron, Herefordshire. In an idyllic setting, it was hands on, which we loved, fun and very informative. Mike, the owner, has a great rapport with both his clients and his feathered friends! And getting close to these handsome creatures and seeing just how intelligent they are was really special.

I had my falconry day at the Coniston Hotel Falconry Centre . It was really great - so much fun, so much knowledge - I can't recommend it highly enough. The day also includes breakfast and lunch at the hotel where the staff are just fantastic - efficient and really friendly. I've already recommended both the falcony centre and hotel members of my family!

A truly fantastic experience - one I would highly recommend. We 'fly' about 8 different birds ranging from the 5oz kestral to the 5lb Bateleur eagle. Amazing creatures - and I feel very lucky to have been so close to them.
