You will be guided by Paul, a hugely experienced baker who has spent over forty years in the industry and more than twenty sharing his know-how through courses just like this one. The day begins with coffee and a chat about what lies ahead before you dive into the satisfying business of mixing and kneading both white and wholemeal doughs. Under Paul’s patient guidance you will learn how to develop dough properly, prove it to perfection and shape it into loaves and buns, even experimenting with a traditional ferment. As your creations are left to bake, you will take a tour of the beautiful working watermill that houses the class, before returning for the best part of all – tasting the results of your hard work. It is a warm, hands-on day out that makes an ideal gift for any budding baker or Bake Off enthusiast.
