The pilot was really good and takes about how to fly and what we were seeing and then allowed me to fly the glider for a bit which was amazing.
Everyone was so friendly and helpful.

After waiting over a year (due to Covid) I finally got my glider flight. It was a fabulous experience. The gliding club were very welcoming and informative. I would thoroughly recommend this experience.

Fantastic experience, couldn't have been made more welcome by the club members. The flight was great, launched at 5250 ft and flew around thermalling for just under an hour before returning to the airfield. A bonus on this experience is that you also get 28 days membership to the club, meaning that you can have additional flights at club rates. I took advantage of this offer and a few days later had a second fantastic flight with loads of thermalling and again managed a full hours flight. For the majority of both flights I was actually flying the glider under instruction from the pilot in the rear seat. It was a real hands on experience. A must for anyone who has a love for flying.

Fantastic experience and can't wait to do it again. The nearest you will get to being a bird. The view is amazing and after handling the controls of several other types of aircraft the glider is the best.
The staff were really friendly and welcoming and the airfield is in a peaceful and tranquil location. I'm seriously thinking of returning shortly for another flight. Hopefully I can get a wee bit longer in the air as it's all over too soon.

Booked the 3000ft Gliding experience at Bidford. Picked the perfect day for it one sunny Saturday. Bidford airfield is a nice tranquil place. Instructors were very friendly and explained the day's activities. What an amazing experience! Thank you. Was up in the air for at least an hour due to the thermals reaching 4000ft. Half the time I was given the controls. Would recommend it to anyone. Thanks to Into the Blue and Bidford staff.

I went on a glider flight from Long Marston airfield. It was given to me as a gift for my 70th birthday. It was just amazing. If I were younger and just a bit richer, it would have inspired me to learn to fly. Lee, the pilot, was wonderful. He explained everything very carefully and clearly. Actually flying the plane both as a glider and under power was an experience I shall never forget. It was the best birthday present I have ever had.
Everyone at the club was so helpful and friendly. They made my wife feel at ease (it was her first flight) and she had a great time, even taking over the controls. While I waited on the ground the crew there were friendly and helpful. If you're thinking about doing it ..... do it!! You won't regret it.

Very good. Very friendly people at the club, both myself and my family who came to watch were all made very welcome. The flight itself was amazing with plenty of time on the controls. For me a completely new and exciting experience.
A fantastic gift from my Sister. The pilot told me all about the plane, very interesting. The flight was great the views just amazing. I had the chance to take the controls and fly the plane for at least 10 mins.
Finally the pilot turned of the engine and we spent 15 mins gliding, even came in to land without the engine. A fab gift, one of the best I have been given. Thanks Ann
Sent my Dad into the blue...although he looked a bit grey when he came back !! He said it was an amazing experience, went up with the engine on came down with it off and got to fly the plane himself for about 10 mins!!! The pilot was lovely and so laid back. A great experience and another tick on his bucket list. Not for the faint hearted but a wonderful experience
I loved absolutely everything about this! It was something I've always wanted to do. Friends clubbed together for my 40th! The staff were amazing, the pilot was reassuring, informative and good company. I can highly recommend this and WILL be doing this again.

The weather was great and fabulous views from B'ham to the north and the Brecon Beacons to the south-west.
The flight was 50 mins which went very quickly and I'd have loved to do more.
Original experience of Silverstone driving had to be exchanged as could not find a suitable date. Swapped easily for 2 gliding lessons and had a great time.

This was booked for my 12.5 year old grandson, on arrival he was a bit apprehensive, this was mainly down to lessons on how to use the parachute in an emergency. The team soon put him at ease and off he went into the wild blue yonder! When he landed he was smiling like a Cheshire Cat. As he walked up to me he said “Granddad, that was epic!â€
Great experience and would recommend a glider flight to anyone who has thought about doing one. Bidford glider club could not be more welcoming and friendly. I even had chance to fly The glider myself for a couple of short times but this has given me The need to try again. The only downside was that I was expecting at least 30 minutes in the air but only has about 15 minutes but I think this was down to the weather conditions.Overall a great time with a very friendly and welcoming club
