Learn about the wonders of some of the most majestic birds of prey with a choice of fascinating experiences.

Choose one from the following: Half Day Falconry: This experience gives recipients the opportunity to handle the birds of prey including; falcons, hawks and owls, and have them flown to your gloved hand whilst learning about each of them and the history of falconry. Half Day Falconry & Hawk Walk: A fully interactive experience allowing participants to explore the sport of falconry by flying a variety of birds including; buzzards, hawks and owls to the gloved hand as well as learning important falconry techniques like tying the falconers knot. All topped off by going out on a hawk walk. Hawk Walk: This wonderful hawk walk takes you along the banks of the stunning Newburn Riverside, following the Tyne. Along the walk with a Harris Hawk you will take in one of the more beautiful stretches of the river and may even get to see some of the local wildlife including seals and otters. Bird Handling Experience: Meet four native and non-native hawks and owls and, if conditions are right, get some flying in to make it extra special. As an extra bonus, if you feel up to it, you could meet the mini beasts, handle snakes, lizards, frogs and stick insects! Bird of Prey Experience + 2 Spectators: Experience handling and flying hawks, buzzards, kestrels and owls. Learn about their husbandry, housing and diet, as well as how to tie the falconers knot and handle the birds safely.
