Take turns with the different tools available as you're guided by Nicky and Aaron in their Herefordshire countryside forge - while having some laughs along the way!

Overview

Itinerary

  • Day date of blacksmithing for two people
  • Learn traditional blacksmithing techniques
  • Use heat and a hammer to forge a practical or decorative item from raw iron
  • Create a beautiful crafted piece of ironwork  with your very own hands to take home with you
  • Work together and make something for the home or garden
  • Examples of items you can create together: Rose, boot scraper, wall coat rack, candlestick, paper/viking knife etc
  • All materials and safety equipment including aprons and goggles are provided
  • Allow approximately five hours on site for this experience

  • Weekdays and selected Saturdays throughout the year
  • All dates are subject to availability
  • Due to popularity please book well in advance to avoid disappointment, weekends especially get booked quickly
  • Sessions are generally available from 09:00-14:00 or 12:30-17:30

  • Participants can either bring their own packed lunch or lunch is available to purchase for an additional charge, payable when booking your date
  • Enjoy locally produced hot food, available for purchase in the on-site café (open 7 days a week, 9 AM – 4 PM)
