The meeting point for the activity is Spyway Barn, which is located on the cliff tops near Swanage in the Isle of Purbeck. Your guides will provide you with all the necessary instructions, safety guidelines, and coasteering techniques before beginning the adventure.
After the briefing, you will head to Dancing Ledge, which is so named because of the way the waves move on the flat rock. Your guides will share more information on this during the trip. During the coasteering adventure, you will explore sea coves, climb rocks, jump into the surf, and swim while enjoying the awe-inspiring views of Dorset.
The area is captivating, with a rugged coastline that holds many fascinating stories. The cliffs have many tales to tell us about smugglers, shipwrecks, battles, and storms that have taken place here. The towering cliffs above the sea were once quarries where stone was extracted. Today, these former quarries make for a fantastic coastal playground to explore.

What's Included
- A half day Coasteering experience on the Jurassic Coast
- Welcome, introduction and safety briefing
- You will be provided with all activity equipment (wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmet)

- Enjoy sea swimming, scrambling across rocky coastlines, climbing sea cliffs, jumping off rocks into the sea and exploring hidden sea caves
- You will usually be a part of a group of up to 10 participants
Suitable For
- Minimum age 14
- Under 18s must be accompanied by a participating adult
- A good level of fitness is required
- No prior coasteering experience is required
- Suitable for all swimming abilities. If you are unable to swim, you can still take part but you may struggle with participating in certain aspects of the experience

Session times are usually:
- 9:00am-12:00pm
- 12:30pm-15:30pm
- If your experience is cancelled due to weather, this will be rescheduled.

Anything Else
Please bring the following items with you on the day:
- A pair of shoes with laces to wear in the water
- A swimming costume to wear under a wetsuit
- A water bottle
- A towel
- A change of dry clothing
- Contact lenses (If you can get away with not wearing them, that's best. If you do need them to see, be sure to have a spare pair to put in after your session)
