Spend a peaceful half day out on the water with this guided canoe experience along the River Stort in Essex. You will be accompanied by a knowledgeable guide as you gently canoe downstream, soaking up views of quiet countryside, calm waters and protected wildlife areas that make this stretch of river such a hidden gem. On arrival you will meet your group and guide, run through a short safety briefing and get fitted with a life jacket before heading to the canoes. The route will either take you from Bishop’s Stortford to Sawbridgeworth or from Sawbridgeworth through to Harlow Mill, each offering its own lovely views and peaceful surroundings. The pace is easy and unhurried, with opportunities to stop along the way for photos, refreshments or simply to enjoy the moment. At the end of your journey you will be collected and driven back to your starting point, rounding off a laid back and scenic day on the river.
