You'll learn essential skills to tackle everyday DIY tasks, including hanging shelves, fixing curtain rails, and putting up pictures—all by yourself! Topics include using electric drills, drilling into various surfaces like wood, plasterboard, brick, and metal, and choosing the right fixings. The workshops foster a fun and welcoming atmosphere for everyone, whether you're a beginner or have some experience. By the end of the day, you’ll feel confident tackling home improvement projects on your own! By the end of your one-day DIY course in Hampshire, you'll be confident enough to tackle those everyday home improvement tasks and projects you've always wanted to get done. And now you can do them yourself!

  • You will be taught how to hang shelves and curtain rails,  using the correct wall fixings and levelling techniques

  • Practice your newfound skills by hanging some shelf brackets on a plasterboard wall, drilling into bricks/concrete, and your tutor will show you how to avoid water pipes and electrics!
  • Time permitting, you will also take a look at handsaws and how to saw like a pro!
  • Leave the course with the confidence to take on your next DIY project
  • You will form part of a small group of 10 participants
