The goal is to have a full rotation so your axe can land squarely on the target you're aiming for. Don't worry if you're not strong or don't have experience with axes, anyone can throw! The technique is more important than brute strength, and the instructors will show you just that. You'll start by throwing smaller, easier-to-handle 12" Ninja axes before moving on to Tomahawks and then bad axes. You'll see how you do in the target area of three scoring zones and whether you have what it takes to become the champion axe thrower.
