Why buy from us?
Abseiling is extremely exhilarating and testing activity requiring the participant to control their own descent to the ground. Climbing the steps in Magna’s 150ft Face of Steel Building can be a daunting challenge in itself, however once at our purpose built abseil platform a qualified instructor will put you at ease and explain the principles involved before setting you on your way (* Note – this is a free abseil meaning that you abseil into free air and not down the side of a wall). Located at the at the award winning Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham, a £46 million Millennium project, The Abyss has created a unique experience for thrill seekers. Set in semi darkness complete with music, video screens, dry ice and effect lighting, four exhilarating activities utilise the breath-taking facilities and structures of this former steel works, providing a truly dramatic backdrop for the ultimate adrenalin experiences, so brace yourself and get Abseiling!

Some people can take longer than others, so please remember to be patient and take your time too. The times below are not exact but are the maximum amount of time you should take to complete your experience:

  • Bungee Jump - please allow at least 2hrs on site
  • Triple Whammy Experience - please allow at least 3hrs on site
  • Awesome Foursome Experience - please allow at least 3hrs on site

Pre-Booking: Due to a limited number of spaces being available on each event, it is necessary for you to pre-book your jump before the day of your event. If you arrive on the day of the event without previously booking your experience UK Bungee Club may not be able to accommodate your jump.

What to Wear / Equipment: Dress in comfortable, casual clothes. Skirts / dresses are not recommended. Also please refrain from wearing boots or anything that may interfere with ankle harnesses otherwise they will have to be removed prior to jumping. Trainers and securely fastened shoes are fine.

Group Size / Spectators: You are welcome to bring spectators free of charge to watch you jump.

Mobile Contact Number: Please ensure that you provide a contact telephone number when booking this experience, as we need a mobile contact number for the day of your jump in case of inclement weather.

Minimum Age: You can NOT participate if you are Under 11 years old. 11-15 year olds require a parent or guardian to be present, sign permission and will be required to complete a non-standard waiver.

Maximum weight limit for a solo jumper: 120kg (18.9 stone)

Waist Harness: Waist harnesses fit waist size of 40cm (15.7 inches) to 125cm (49.2 inc)

You can NOT jump: If you are pregnant or under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs

If any of the following apply, you must seek professional medical advice before jumping and sign a non-standard waiver: High blood pressure, heart condition, suffer from dizziness or epilepsy, damage to neck, back, spinal column, legs or eyes, or you are an asthma sufferer. If you are taking any form of prescribed medication, please inform us of how this may affect you.

If you are over 50 years old: You must seek professional medical advice before jumping and you will be required to sign a non-standard waiver stating this, alongside the fact you are aware that your age may contribute to a greater risk of aggravating any present or past medical and/or physical condition.

If you are not in good health: You should NOT participate. The suppliers are not medically trained professionals and therefore cannot comment on individual cases, therefore it is strongly recommended you consult your doctor if you have any concerns about your health.

  • The experience runs approximately once a month on selected Saturdays.
  • This activity is held indoors so will not be affected by the weather.

You can purchase photos, videos and merchandise including t-shirts and hoodies online during the booking process, over the phone with the UK Bungee Club’s Customer Care Team or on the day of your jump. There is lots to choose from!

This valuable feedback is then used to improve our service and also made public to other customers considering the same event.
