Known for its expansive runway, the airport can easily accommodate 747s for takeoff and landing. In these personalised 60-minute sessions, you'll have the chance to fly in a two-seater helicopter with a highly experienced instructor pilot. Had a fantastic time on a bright day flying over the Thanet coast. Must thank the instructor Mr Thomas for his patience and skill at explaining how the controls worked. I had a warm welcome at Polar Helicopters and would thoroughly recommend them to everyone. Fantastic experience. I cannot recommend Polar Helicopters enough. Of the 30 minute introductory lesson I was flying the helicopter for well over 25 minutes. The instructor was brilliant at explaining everything.
