Your expert instructor will lead the way, showing you all the controls and running you through the safety briefing before you leave the ground, so rest assured you'll be in the best hands. Once airborne, you have the choice over how much you do - if you just want to sit back and take in the sights that's more than okay, but if you're feeling the itch to fly yourself, the instructor will hand over the controls to you too. Soaring over the beautiful Derbyshire hills, there's nothing quite like a microlight flight to get you appreciating this diverse landscape.

  • Take your lesson in either a fixed wing Ikarus C42 or flexi wing microlight
  • A safety briefing and introduction to the aircraft and equipment used
  • Once airborne you will be given the option to take the controls and fly the microlight yourself or simply sit back and enjoy the views
  • Time flown can be counted towards a qualification

  • The minimum age is 14 years old
  • Under 18s must be accompanied on the airfield by an adult
  • A sturdy pair of ankle boots and warm clothing are recommended
