For those of you who are passionate about aviation history and also want to learn how to fly, a lesson departing from North Weald Airfield simply has to be on your agenda. Flying has been taking place at this historic airfield since 1916, during World War 1 and had continued use through World War 2 and beyond, when the RAF finally moved out in 1964. With the chance to depart from the same airfield as used by pilots throughout the Battle of Britain and the rest of the twentieth century, this is a rare opportunity to get so close to history.
