Why buy from us?
For those of you who are passionate about aviation history and also want to learn how to fly, a lesson departing from North Weald Airfield simply has to be on your agenda. Flying has been taking place at this historic airfield since 1916, during World War 1 and had continued use through World War 2 and beyond, when the RAF finally moved out in 1964. With the chance to depart from the same airfield as used by pilots throughout the Battle of Britain and the rest of the twentieth century, this is a rare opportunity to get so close to history. Not only will this lesson give you a slice of aviation history, but the chance to learn how to fly a 4 seater Cessna 172 with some of the best, most enthusiastic pilots around. The flying school here is the only CAA Approved Training Organisation operating out of North Weald so there’s no doubt that for the duration of your flight, you will be in the best hands. Not only will you be taught how to fly the aircraft, but be given a through briefing on explaining how the aircraft works and all the accompanying instrumentation. Our instructors believe this is particularly important before you get set in the skies so you have the right foundations to fly.
