Take to the air with a 30 Minute Flying Lesson at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford. On arrival you will be given a safety brief by the team so you are ready to get into the Cessna 152 that you will be flying in. Once in the air, you will have the opportunity to take the controls, the 30 minutes you fly will be put into your log book, counting towards the hours you need for your pilots licence. You will be one of many people to fly at Duxford as the airfield has a long history, including it's life as a RAF base in both world wars. Once back on terra firma you will be able to have a look round the amazing IWM at Duxford, where you can view an array of over 200 aircraft.

The on the day experience was very straightforward and uncomplicated. Turned up and 30 minutes later we were on the runway ready to fly. The pilot was calm and put me very much at ease so that I could fully relax and enjoy it. Only note for improvement would be the Classic Wings website which could do with modernising - not so easy to navigate.

I booked this for my husband for father's day as a surprise. I've honestly never seen him so excited, he was absolutely over the moon with it and was so excited when he landed saying he'd taken the controls and flown over our house. Best thing I've ever booked for him!

A warm friendly greeting bu all the staff. Pilot was brilliant and very helpful. We flew over Cambridge and the sights were painted out to me. Difficult to keep the pane level but the pilot was very helpful. It was a great 80th birthday present and topped off by visiting IWM

Had a wonderful experience from start to finish. First registering on Intotheblue website was straight forward, next an easy phone call to the Classic Wings company at IWM Duxford to book a date was straightforward. Come the day, the weather was superb, pleasant staff led to an enjoyable hours flying around Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Huntington and Bedfordshire.

I did not expect that in the 30 minutes of the flying experience I would actually spend over two thirds of it holding the controls. I received this as a gift and was a bit reluctant but the instructor was fantastic. Duxford is one of the best places to choose for this experience. Thoroughly recommend.
