After a thorough restoration, she's been soaring since 1987, decked out in the classic post-war trainer colours. On the other hand, G-PWBE, a bit younger, was crafted in 1959 by Lawrence Engineering Services in Australia, making her a rare gem. You might notice a few tweaks, like a tail wheel and brakes, making her versatile for more than just grass runways. Your adventure kicks off with a pre-flight briefing, where you'll get the lowdown on the aircraft's technicalities. Suitable For

  • Under 18s must be accompanied on the airfield by an adult
  • Warm clothing should be worn due to open cockpit of the airfield
  • All participants must declare themselves medically fit to fly with the content form
  • All participants must be able to walk 50 metres unaided and be able to safely board and egress the aircraft 
  • You should consult your GP if you have any concerns about flying in an open cockpit aircraft

  • Selected weekdays and weekends throughout the year
  • Ideal open cockpit flying time is March to October, flights will be limited outside this time period

It was an excellent experience something Ive wanted to do for ages,the staff an pilot were very helpful and informative and I had a great flight.There was only one very small downside and that was plane intercom was very intermittent so communication was not very good between myself and the pilot but I would certainly do it again.

The Pilot took me around Headcorn and gave me information of where we were flying overland and as I was born in Headcorn I new and recognised all the places. Once again a brilliant experience.My pilot Patrick went out of his way to please me by flying over Hawkinge Battle of Britain Museum. We became so engrossed in conversation that I almost forgot the purpose of my flight. I would love to know Patricks surname if possible, so when I am giving one of my stories about my experience, I can mention him by his full name, as I indeed mention Anna Walker and our Spitfire flight.It was also lovely to meet Emma from the Warbird Workshop Tiger Moth program, she was totally amazed that I recognised her. All in all a 10 out of 10 fantastic experience.Well done to you all

Excellent day out. All staff were very nice and efficient especially for looking after my wife and granddaughter.Superb flight around Kent taking in various sites eg the Battle of Britain memorial and Dover castle. It would have been nice to receive some kind of flight certificate as a memento of the flight

The flight was great and the visibility was good too. Extra flights were laid on in November so I didnt have to wait until Spring the following year but it was very cold. There didnt seem to be enough personnel to keep things running smoothly and the absence of signage made the hut difficult to find. It would have been nice if a memento or certificate was included with the flight.
