Helicopter trial lesson at Beccles airfield.Initial briefing was very helpful and after a short handson session in the helicopter, we were away.Surprisingly I was able to take the controls almost immediately and flew it most of the way, thanks to the brilliant guidance of the instructor, Capt. Speechley.Half hour flight and another half hour of instruction preflight made it an ideal time and a really great experience. The crew on the ground were also very helpful, efficient and enthusiastic loved it

I bought this experience as a birthday present for my wife, Elizabeth, and I just wanted to say what a wonderful day we had with the helicopter team for Elizabeths flying lesson. It was a wonderful experience and we are extremely grateful to captain Phil for a fantastic flight. Elizabeth really enjoyed flying the helicopter and the whole experience And even sitting in the back as a passenger brought back many happy memories for me from my days as an RN Fleet Air Arm Sea King pilot. Highly recommended. Brilliant.

From the moment of introduction to our pilotinstructor, Phil, we were put at ease. His briefing was thorough and easily understood and he spoke clearly in laymans terms aided by clear diagrams to put across the salient points of his explanation. His friendly, professional manner helped ease our nerves as we were then introduced to the helicopter my husband taking his seat in front with myself as passenger. I was fully included in the exhilarating experience. From start to finish all through the flight he encouraged and reassured us with his confident yet understanding manner. He had a thorough knowledge of the local area and we even flew over our own property en route. It was amazing to think that at times we were travelled at 100mph and 1000ft yet it was a smooth and comfortable experience because of his expertise in the cockpit. After the flight there was an opportunity for a debrief and my husband was handed a certificate too. We really couldnt rate and recommend the adventure highly enough. The surroundings at Beccles Aerodrome, with micro lights, parachutists and light planes on the airstrip and in the air, was phenomenal. We will definitely be taking about this experience for many months to come. Thank you so much to Phil and his team.
