The archery set up is staffed by experienced marshals who will guide you through the basics of using a bow and arrow. The archery range is situated in a secluded area of the farmland, sheltered from the elements, so you can enjoy the activity even if it rains. The targets are mounted on sturdy wooden blocks and are classic multi-coloured roundels, placed at varying distances from the stand. The bows used are recurve bows, which are ideal for beginners. During your hour of archery, your instructor will show you how to hold the bow, load the arrow, and release it. Once everyone has completed a round of arrows safely, the marshal will allow you to cross the shooting line and inspect your target up close to see how close you got to the bullseye. The aim is to hit the bullseye with every shot, so you can keep practising until you achieve your goal.
