Making a reservation for a Mitsubishi Experience Day
Mitsubishi driving days are an excellent gift for yourself or a special person on their birthday, Christmas, Father's Day, or even Valentine's Day.
Our gift cards at Driving Experience come with additional gift wrapping options at checkout to make the day much more special - plus, they offer you a lot of flexibility in terms of when and where you choose to drive an EVO X or Eclipse.
But don't forget that all of our experiences are refreshed in our Events calendars with new products from our suppliers on a regular basis, so if you see a date you want, you can book it right away.
Mitsubishi Driving Experiences
Do you want to drive one of the most famous sports cars in the world? Mitsubishi motors may be just what you're looking for. This Japanese automaker has produced some of our fleet's most efficient cars, which you can test at various locations around the UK.
On one of our many Supercar and Movie Car packs, you will get into the exciting EVO X on a rally stage or feel the turbo strength of an Eclipse on one of our many Supercar and Movie Car days.
Mitsubishi EVO X
Like many Japanese classics, the Mitsubishi EVO X (or Evolution X, to give it its full name) has always been a prominent rally car and is highly popular in the motorsports and tuning community. Whether you or someone you know wants to be the next Colin McRae, our rally driving day packages in an EVO X might be exactly what you need.
The EVO X is a car to remember, with 403 bhp and top speeds of over 155 mph.
The Eclipse was one of the whips of choice for Brian O'Conner, portrayed by the late great Paul Walker, one of the most prominent silver screen motorsports lovers, in the long-running Fast and Furious films. Indeed, Paul Walker is credited with introducing a plethora of Japanese domestic market tuner cars to the West such as the Toyota Supra MK4, Nissan Skyline R34, and, indeed, the Mitsubishi Eclipse. The squad at TrackDays adores these Japanese legends' ferocity.
Our Fast and Furious Blast (3 mile) and Thrill (6 mile) packages involve time behind the wheel of the Eclipse, as well as up to five other notable cars from the film, including the Nissan R34 Skyline, Chevrolet Camaro SS, and Toyota Supra MK4.
Mitsubishi's Past Success
The Mitsubishi Evo isn't a car; it's a weapon - with a history that predates the nameplate itself. In its never-ending search to stick out from the crowd, Mitsubishi has turned to racing on several occasions. The 500 Super Deluxe was planned for rallying and was striving for rally glory as early as 1961.
In the early 1970s, Mitsubishi built the Lancer 1600GSR, which dominated the tough East African Safari Rally in 1974. The Paris-Dakar Rally was shredded by a Mitsubishi Pajero SUV (marketed as the Montero in the United States) in 1985.
The company had made it clear that advanced tech and toughness were important selling points for its vehicles all over the world. World rallying was the most technologically sophisticated racing series outside of Formula One.
Mitsubishi's first attempt to build a competitive World Rally Championship entry, the Galant VR-4, was designed to Group A regulations. It's an oversimplification, but the first Lancer Evolution (later known as the EVO) was essentially born here, by encasing the Galant VR-4's soul within the smaller Lancer body.
Terms and Conditions
All experiences are subject to availability. The most recent information on dates when an event may be available can be checked by looking at the calendars on the website, or when you have activated and logged in with your voucher. Please note not all spaces are shown online so if you cannot see spaces for your event please call or email for dates. We will do our best to secure your preferred choice of event, venue and date, but to avoid disappointment book as early as possible, especially for peak times such as weekends and the summer months which book up very quickly. Do not purchase an experience for yourself or as a gift that has a choice of venues if you or the person it is for are only able to travel to one of the choices. Once you are booked, you are bound by the terms and conditions of the event host of which a copy can be made available upon request. In most circumstances, a cancellation cannot be made once a date has been booked.
When booking by phone or online you should not make arrangements in connection with an Event until you have received your final booking confirmation stating your date and time (this does not include the automatic purchase email you receive that confirms what you have just ordered). Your final confirmation will usually arrive within 48 hours of making the purchase. For voucher redemption see 'voucher conditions' below. Where specific elements of an Event such as vehicles or equipment are not available due to mechanical breakdown, we reserve the right to make reasonable substitutions on the day. If this is not possible we reserve the right to cancel the experience at short notice.
Voucher holders must make a prior booking and receive confirmation in order that an open voucher can be redeemed. We recommend that when you have chosen your experience you redeem your voucher at least 21 days in advance of taking your selected experience. We do not guarantee availability on all events, even if the date is showing, so if a chosen event is full or you cannot find a suitable date during the validity period of your voucher then the credit can be used towards an alternative event. Do not arrive at a venue expecting to be able to use your voucher without making a prior booking and receiving a booking confirmation. Trackdays.co.uk will not be held liable for any costs incurred in such circumstances.
Unless stated otherwise, vouchers are valid for one person only. Where necessary a top-up payment can be made to increase the value of a voucher to book a higher priced event. Note that during the out of season months the price of experience may change. If the price of the event is lower than the value of the voucher the remaining credit will be held for use until the vouchers expiry date. We recommend booking as early as possible as you must have undertaken your experience before the expiry date printed on the front of your Voucher. All vouchers will be valid for use up to the expiry date displayed, but after this date, vouchers will automatically expire and cannot be reinstated under any circumstances. Trackdays.co.uk staff are not responsible for reminding or informing customers when a voucher is due to expire. A voucher holder may book a date which is outside of the expiration date displayed on the voucher but must extend the expiry of their voucher for an administration fee. This must be processed before the original expiry date. Voucher credit cannot be used for extension fees or to pay for booking protection.
