Are you seeking an adventure that will get your heart racing? Why not try white-water kayaking in Nottingham? This is not your ordinary kayaking experience. During this two-hour session, you will navigate through the rapids for an adrenaline-filled adventure. Be prepared to get soaked as the drench factor is high! This experience is designed for two people, so bring a friend along for the ride. Your session will be held at Holme Pierrepont in Nottingham, a stunning country park that is also home to the National Water Sports Centre. If you are not familiar with the area, kayaking experiences are one of the best ways to explore and get to know this vibrant place! The rapids are man-made, and the water flow is fully controllable, allowing for different grades of white water on a specially designed section. It's an impressive sight. Each of you will have your own kayak. These are special, rigid, inflatable kayaks that are designed to handle the swirling waters of Nottingham's finest kayak run. You can sit down with your legs outstretched, lean against the backrest, and prepare to tackle those swirling waters. All paddlers will receive an on-shore briefing, which includes paddle technique and what to expect when you're out on the rapids.

  • Experiences last approximately two hours with around one and three quarter hours on the water
  • Full safety briefing and training session
  • Starting on lower grade White Water you will build your skill level and confidence before tackling the BIG STUFF.
  • All equipment is provided including buoyancy aid, helmet and wetsuit
  • The open cockpit and self bailing features ensure a safe and easy ride

  • Friends and family are welcome to the beautiful water park surroundings

  • Minimum age 12
  • Maximum weight 18 stone (114 kg)
  • Maximum chest size should be less than 48 inches
  • Participants must be able to swim in light clothing and be confident in open water
  • This activity is not suitable during pregnancy
  • Under 18's will need to provide a parental/guardian consent form which will be provided prior to the activity

Minimum Age: 12 years

  • Participants should bring a pair of trainers that can get wet and swimwear for underneath the wetsuit
  • Changing facilities including showers are available

  • Sessions run between 10:00 and 18:00 between March and October and 10:00 and 15:30 between November and February 
  • Experiences generally operate on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays
