It is time to embrace a new hobby with this 1:1 Private Introduction to Open Water Swimming. Your instructor will teach you about safety including the risks, hazards, equipment and safety protocol for wild swimming. During your session you will be able to ease yourself in, entering the water in your own time. Start by water treading before having a guided swim for 20 - 40 minutes taken at your own pace. The instructor will provide you with a brightly coloured tow float, an essential bit of kit for every wild swimmer. In the session you will focus on managing any fears and improving your techniques. It's a great way to dip your toe into the world of wild swimming.

Introduction to open water swimming
Learn about safety including the risks, hazards, equipment and safety protocol
Entry to the water at your own pace, with plenty of guidance and support
Start with fun exercises such as treading water and optional head/face submersion
20 - 40 mins guided swim at your own pace with support throughout
Manage any fears and challenges whilst improving your stroke technique
Safely exit the water followed by your debriefing
Loan of a brightly coloured tow float
Sessions last approximately one hour
1:1 Private session One to One tuition from the instructor
Participants should wear a swimming costume/old clothes/wetsuit water shoes or a pair of old trainers
Please bring a change of clothes (something warm)
Between April and mid May participants will need to wear a wetsuit (not provided-please bring one)
From Mid May onwards wetsuits are optional
Onsite toilets, showers and changing rooms
Light refreshments are available to purchase
Picnic tables and secure parking onsite
Minimum Age: 10 years
Selected weekdays and weekends throughout the year
Participants should arrive 15 mins prior to their session time
Under 16s must be accompanied by a participating adult
Participants must be able to swim confidently in a pool
