There is a Minimum age of 18. Height restriction are 5' -6'4''. Maximum weight is 20 stone. Generally good health is required before undertaking any Warbird Experiences flight. If you are pregnant or suffer from epilepsy you should not participate. Medical fitness is your own responsibility. A reasonable level of agility is required in order to scale the aircraft when getting in and out although steps can be provided for your safety and comfort

Weather  WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?

You will be advised of a telephone number to call before setting out on your journey to check whether the weather forecast is suitable for your Warbird Experiences flight. If the forecast is unfavourable, the Warbird Experiences flight can be re-booked at no extra charge

Trackdays.co.uk brings you this rare opportunity to get a hands on experience of flying in a North American T-6 Texan, the World War II vintage fighter-trainer plane. Commonly known throughout the uk as the Harvard, this two-seater, dual controlled, single engine ex-military trainer is dotted thoughout history, and during the flight, the instructor will offer you the chance to get your hands on the controls and experience the challenges faced by so many young cadets.

ITINERARY

  • Welcome and briefing session
  • ‘Walk round’ the aircraft along with your instructor before climbing on board and strapping in
  • Assist in cockpit checks, taxiing and the pre-flight checks.
  • Take control or the aircraft. (You may fly up to 75% of the time if you wish)
  • 20 minute debriefing after which your certificate and logbook will be presented to you.
