If you have tried sailing before and believe that you could take your skills a step further, then try and obtain your RYA Level One Sailing certificate. RYA qualifications are known and respected the world over. This is an introduction level where there is no need for any experience just a love for the water. During this course you will learn how to sail in all directions, including an awareness of launching and recovering. After the course you should have the skills and confidences to be able to sail in light winds under supervision. For this experience you will be learning in a dinghy. Dinghy sailing is the activity of sailing small boats by using the five essential controls: the sails; underwater foils; the trim; side to side balance of the dinghy and the choice of route.

This RYA course uses RS Q'Bas - all purpose boats which are perfect for teaching beginners the techniques for sailing. With all RYA courses, you will be given a certificate on completion of this course and you can also purchase an RYA log book.
