First is a hands-on flying lesson in the open cockpit of a Tiger Moth, the classic bi-plane, after which you will be able to get behind the wheel of an armoured military vehicle. Next you can enjoy a flight in a Dragon Rapide over the beautiful city of Cambridge before returning to Duxford for a tour of its private aircraft collection.
Your day begins at 10am and will include the following: Tea and Biscuits in the Control Tower; Entry to all areas of the Imperial War Museum for the participant; Hands-on flying lesson in an open cockpit Tiger Moth, complete with loan of flying jacket, helmet and goggles; Professional photo taken beside your aircraft; Driving lesson in an armoured military vehicle; Flight over Cambridge in the Dragon Rapide; Guided tour of some of Duxford 's private aircraft collection; Buffet lunch in the Pilots Briefing Room; 'Log Book ' flight certificate and celebratory glass of champagne. Your day will end at around 3.30pm.

This experience is for two people. You must pre-book your experience. Maximum weight 16 stone. Minimum age 16 years. Refreshments are available on site for spectators. Please note that spectators will have to pay to enter the museum and watch the experience, but at a half price rate. There will be 16 other participants on this experience with you. Dates are limited and subject to availability; usually the third Saturday of every month (April to October)

All flights are weather dependent and therefore subject to suitable flying conditions. It is essential to call the centre on the morning of your flight to check it will be going ahead. If a flight has to be cancelled it will be rebooked for an alternative date.
