Upon arrival you will be welcomed and briefed by one of Whizzard Helicopters' specialist flight crew. Once you are safely strapped into your seat, the helicopter will take off from Welshpool. Your flight begins by following the longest river in Britain - the River Severn. As it snakes north, you'll cross the English border and see the vast Shropshire plains unfold beneath you. Flying further on, you'll find yourself surrounded by the rolling hills of Wales on the left, Cannock Chase and the Midlands to the east and on a clear day, you can see the Pennines and Liverpool to the north. Looping the prominent Rodney's Pillar, you'll swing past the disused RAF Montford Bridge, used to train Spitfire pilots in the Second World War. You will have a bird’s eye view of the Shuts and Passages - a unique maze of narrow alleys which criss-cross the town centre, the Shropshire Hills and Powys Castle, all overlooking the beautiful Severn Valley before landing back at Welshpool.
