The Speech Hotel is a beautiful 17th century former hunting lodge set in the heart of the idyllic Royal Forest of Dean, making it the perfect location to relax. The hotel boasts fantastic forest views, charming accommodation and superb dining. Originally built in 1676, the hotel blends the elegance of authentic features with stylish design and contemporary facilities. Overlooking the romantic wilderness of the surrounding forest, it’s the ideal retreat for exploring this area of outstanding natural beauty.

You will stay in an upgraded room, either a main house superior room or courtyard four poster bedroom. For formal dining, the beamed Verderer’s Court restaurant offers fantastic contemporary European cuisine. For lighter meals and snacks, the Orangery is the perfect place to unwind after a long day. As an additional treat you will experience a Traditional Afternoon Tea served in the Orangery, which includes a selection of freshly made sandwiches, freshly baked scones with clotted cream and preserve, an array of scrumptious cakes served with a choice of tea or coffee. This break is a one night stay for two people, including breakfast and a Traditional Afternoon Tea for Two.
