Your helicopter lesson will begin with a safety briefing from an expert flying instructor, who will explain all the on-board technology and controls in the cockpit. Typically, your lesson will be taken in a dual control Robinson R22 helicopter, which has two seats - one for you and the other for the pilot. After take-off and while maintaining a steady altitude, you’ll have the opportunity to take over the controls and practice manoeuvring and hovering the chopper under the watchful guidance of your pilot.
