Whether you’re a seasoned rider or a complete novice this western riding experience is suitable for everyone. Riding out on either an "American Paint" or an "Appaloosa" (spotty) horse in full western turnout, you are sure to look and feel like a real cowboy... or cowgirl. With 94,000 acres of ancient New Forest National Park land to explore, this two hour trail ride takes you across open plains, into wooded enclosures and through rippling streams. You’ll leave the stresses and worries of everyday life behind as you relax, unwind and enjoy a gentle trail through the stunning countryside on horseback.

On the day you will be asked to complete a registration and acceptance form before receiving a short safety briefing from your instructor. Your western trail then begins with a short lesson in the arena before heading out in to the New Forest where you will roam through the stunning scenery of grasslands and heaths, amongst the New Forest ponies and foals and, possibly, fallow or roe deer. All trails are mixed ability and are conducted at walk and jog paces only. You will round off this incredible experience with a sizzling steak and chicken barbecue back at the ranch, which will be welcome, as you will have worked up a huge appetite from your ride!
