Nestled away in 32 acres of woodland and paddocks in the heart of rural Shropshire, Hoo Farm Animal Kingdom is a small family run zoo located on the outskirts of Telford. With animals such as meerkats, lemurs, snakes and owls and even African wildcats, the zoo is a fantastic day out for people of all ages. This Half Day Animal Keeper experience allows anyone from the age of 6-years-old and upwards the chance to meet and come face-to-face with a wide-variety of incredible animals, including servals, lemurs, meerkats, owls, reptiles, hedgehogs and even a giant tortoise. Upon arrival you will be greeted by a friendly member of the Hoo Farm team. During your experience you and a friend will have the chance to handle, feed and stroke the various different animals. From Kovu and Uuka the meerkats to Bonnie the Burmese python, or Oscar the eagle owl to Duma the serval, there is something for everyone. Running from 10am to 1pm, this experience typically runs as follows: 10.00am - 10.20am - Meet and stroke Duma and Zeus the Servals 10.20am - 10.40am - Meet and Feed our Ring-tailed Lemurs 10.40am - 11.00am - Feed and bathe the Giant Tortoise. 11.00am - 11.40am - Meet and cuddle the hand reared Meerkats. 11.40am - 12.00pm - A short drink break with a free soft drink for all participants. 12.00pm - 1.00pm - For the last hour you will meet, handle and stroke the Reptiles, Owls and Hedgehogs.
