This flying school has actually been in operation since 1988 where it has been training pilots to pass their Private Pilot’s Licence with ease. It’s safe to say you will be in some of the best hands around with these passionate, trained professionals running you through a pre flight briefing and then sitting alongside you in a Cessna 152. This aircraft is one of the best to learn in as it has a long history of being a trainer aircraft and is perfect for building up your confidence in the skies. If you’ve always dreamed of learning to fly, this is a great way to start as the Airfield is quiet and friendly, but well located enough to offer you impressive views over the Coast that look particularly appealing during the summer months.   • Participants of the four seater experiences are allowed to bring two interested observers (min age 14, one observer must be over 18) who can observe the lesson from the rear seat (at the discretion of the flight instructor and subject to weather conditions)

I flew from Clacton for the second time using into the blue but this time was for the full hour which counts towards your licence experience. I had a fabulous time with the same instructor who let me fly over Ipswich and towards Maldon circling back to Clacton. The knowledge and instruction given were first class and I will be going for my full PPL, 1 hour at a time...... 100% recommended from Clacton.

It was great,seeing the ground from the 'plane i was flying and being able to take control for a short time was the best bit.The instructor was a great guy and every body on the ground did there bit to.All in all super.

I booked this flying experience for my son as a birthday gift and I am very pleased that I did this. We had to reschedule it first time due to bad weather but were offered another convenient date and time. The pilot was very nice man and my son thoroughly enjoyed it. Very happy.

Excellent experience, over too quickly, something I have always wanted to do. The pilot was friendly and we had a good laugh and she took time to explain what she was doing whilst preparing to take off and land. And gave me time to take some photos from the air. The staff at Clacton where also very helpful looking after my wife whilst I was in the air.

MY WIFE WAS THRILLED WITH THIS EXPERIENCE AND HAD THE CONTROLS FOR THE MAJORITY OF HER TIME IN THE AIR. STAFF ALL VERY POLITE AND FRIENDLY AT CLACTON AIRFIELD. GREAT VIEWS OVER THE SEA FRONT AND SURROUNDING AREAS.

What a great flight we had! The pilot was very informative and made us feel at ease. The conditions were perfect so everything ran smoothly in the day. The office kept us updated with flight times and even called to say we could fly early! New hobby unlocked!
