Drive a Truck Mad Max near me

Hitting our screens in 1979, Mad Max quickly became a hit success and generated an enormous amount of hype and excitement as a result! In particular, the reconstructed vehicles in the film are what really stood out as unique and polarising, and here at TrackDays, we have a replica type truck that has been styled based on the films!

The Mad Max film franchise was one of the biggest success stories of the 70’s! Initially having a $300,000 aud budget, they managed to gross over $100 million US Dollars at the box office!

This absolutely outstanding achievement clearly cemented Mad Max’s legacy in the film world, and it has gone on to have 3 spin off films, with another currently in the works. Any Mad Max fans will attest, the film is made that much better by the unique creation of their vehicles and here at Track Days we’re here to bring that film to life!

It’s not styled to resemble the newest franchise of films made famous through Tom Hardy’s portrayal in the 2015 version. We’re all about the classics and the originals for this driving experience, so it’s designed and inspired by the older films! So if you fancy tackling some off roading and channeling your inner Mad Max then this is the experience for you!

Cool Facts about the Mad Max Truck

Because of Mad Max’s small budget, they had workarounds when it came to shooting the vehicle scenes. They would illegally shut off roads and had no means of communication, as they couldn’t use walkie talkies as the police could intercept their signal. So would film the vast majority of their car chase scenes without legal permission.

They tuned their vehicles specifically to be high spec versions and then purposely damaged the vehicles to make them look like they had been involved in crashes and that’s how they made the unique and recognisable design.
