Its become clear Shane Byrne cant become complacent as newcomer Tommy Bridewell won a tight opening race at the MCE BSB race at Cadwell park. The race was red flagged after rain started to fall but this did not throw Milwaukee Yamaha's Tommy off his stride.
It was by no means an easy win and was arguably one of the closest wins we have had yet in the series. It was a gap only one six thousandths of a second that separated Tommy and championship leader Shane Byrne. Chris Walker come third completing the podium places.
In race two RAF Reserves Honda's Peter Hickman dominated the final race of the day to take his maiden win. The wet conditions may have caught out some riders but Hickman was not going to let a podium finish slip by at his home Circuit.
Unfortunately Josh Brookes fell on the warm up lap and his bike was black flagged ending the race and sending him back to the garage. A dispointing day no doubt for the young rider.
